Even better when you've got a mate who's a taxi driver (cheap 'mates rates' taxi) and you call from any place and say 'alright mate, you busy?', short pause, 'cool, five minutes ye'?' then hang up. The people I'm with are always like 'who's that? and how do they know where to come?' and I grab another beer and say taxi. Then he phones me to say he's outside the house and people are like 'taxis don't do that for us'.

I like Uber because it means I dont have to pay in Ass Blood everytime I need to get to the airport and no one can take me, also it means that if someone calls me while I'm on the road there is no background sounds like we entered WW3 5 minutes ago, but are actually the sounds of the effect of third world roads on a 20+ year old suspension design with poor maintenance over several hundred thousand kilometers...
